The 3nd Annual Classic Amphibious Triathlon (A-CAT) will be held August 25, 2012 at 7:00 a.m, Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor's Center, Wappapello Lake, Missouri. The event will start at 7:00 a.m with day of race registration from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. This triathlon is a "mini triathlon" with a 400 meter swim, 16 mile Bike and a 3.4 mile run . All participants must pay a $10.00 UAST aplication fee if they are not USAT members.
All participants must wear a bicycle helment when participating in the riding section of the event.

To copy the application please right click on the application and select copy, then paste it to word processing file on your computer. Then print and bring your completed application with you on race day.
The Transition Area will be at the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor's Center, Lake Wappapello, Missouri.
Starting from the beach area at Redman Creek Recreation Area, swimmers will enter the water and swim between the temporary buoys and the no boat buoys. The swim will end at the boat launch ramp area. Swimmers will then return to the transition area at the Visitor's Center to begin the "Bike" portion of the triathlon.
Starting from the Transition Area at the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor's Center on T Hwy the riders will head north across the dam. Then travel north on D Hwy to County Road 523 (Lost Creek Trail Head). Turn left and follow the flaggers directions to the turn around location. Then travel south on D Hwy to the dam and proceed south across the dam to the transition area.
Starting at the transition area runners will run north across the dam on T Hwy. At the end of the dam runners will travel east on T Hwy to the designated turn around and hydration station. The runners will follow the same route back to the the Visitor's Center and the finish line.
